Introducing the Energy Flux podcast!
🎤 Call in to talk about the big issues driving the energy transition news agenda
I’m delighted to unveil the launch of the Energy Flux podcast, a new interactive audio show hosted by me exclusively on Callin — the new social podcasting app created by tech entrepreneur David Sacks.
“Oh no, not another podcast!” I hear you say. Yes, it is a fairly saturated space. But this one is a bit different.
Callin is a really interesting new platform that allows listeners to call into the shows they follow. It’s like Clubhouse but with way more functionality. There are more details on the Callin website and in the iOS app store.
The only downside for now is there’s no Android version yet, which is still in the works. There’s also no web platform for desktop yet, so if you have an iPhone be sure to download the iOS app and create your user profile to follow the show.
You’ll get notifications when new episodes are being recorded live (in case you want to call in), and when I publish a recording of a previously live show (every broadcast will be made available for listening later at your leisure).
The Energy Flux podcast will serve a slightly different purpose to the newsletter (which I explain at length in the first episode — check it out here).
All being well, I’ll aim to broadcast weekly episodes on Monday evenings at 5pm UK time to capture listeners across Europe and North America (this might change depending on guest availability — watch this space).
Episode 2 is tentatively scheduled for next Monday 13th December at 5pm GMT, when I’ll be talking about the many reasons why energy market volatility is here to stay. You can join in and listen in here. Guest(s) TBC.
I’ve only every participated in one podcast until now (this one) and I’ve never hosted one, let alone an interactive pod, so this is an exciting (and slightly nerve-wracking) new experience for me. I’ll also be figuring out the technical side of the platform while using it, so you can probably expect a few hiccups to begin with.
I’m very excited about the possibilities created by the Callin platform, and really look forward to getting to know more of my readers. I look forward to your calls!
